NetJets Curtails Jet Card Sales but a New Option is Available
August 27, 2026 – by Alicia Gomez (Aircraft Guys)
The private jet card business is very popular for frequent flyers, but some have many restrictions. One of the biggest issues with jet cards is lack of price transparency for an aircraft. Generally, customers will pay dramatically less per hour for the same aircraft if just chartered on demand. With that all being said NetJets curtails jet card sales, but a new option is available.
While citing several reasons for the cutoff of sales to new customers, it appears demand for fractional ownership, competition and lack of available aircraft are among the reasons.
The problem with most jet cards, as mentioned above, is the lack of transparent pricing. Customers often pay as much as $15,000 per hour for a light jet that is available from multiple sources for half of that. Add to that increasing number of blackout dates, the jet card becomes less and less attractive.
In the corporate world there are prepaid accounts used, where a deposit is paid and is drawn on when flights are needed. However, these can be just as big or even more of an upfront commitment of a jet card.
A new innovative solution is being offered by the Allied Jet Group, which consists of a group of private jet charter brokers.
There has been a deposit program in existence for some time called ClearSky from Stratos Jets.
It differs from all the jet cards and deposit accounts in that it offers complete pricing transparency on every flight. That means the customer gets to see the actual cost the operator charges for that flight. Any additional fees are detailed so there are no hidden costs.
This program had required a $200,000 deposit to start but now through the Allied Jet Agency, who was the first Stratos Jets franchisee, that has been slashed to just $100,000.
And remember this includes a choice of aircraft, AOG and flight insurance with ARGUS level safety. But the best is, there are no blackout dates.
By far this is a gamechanger, and it comes at a time when customers who had been considering a NetJets Jet Card now have a new innovative solution that will get them lots more flight hours.
And again, there are no restrictions on category of aircraft so no issues if you’re flying regionally or coast to coast. And flight availably can be as short as 3 hours. Like we said, it’s innovative and a gamechanger.
Here are details on the program https://alliedjetagency.com/jet-card-program/ which you can see is $200,000. But for a limited time if you contact the Allied Jet Agency directly at (941) 315-9194 and you’ll get this unpublished special promotion.
